About me
A researcher and international visual arts practitioner. I specialise in practice-led research methodologies, philosophies and theories of early childhood education, visual arts education in the Australian context, and drawing practices.
Research interests
• Exploring intergenerational collaborative drawing in early childhood education contexts as an aid to learning across the curriculum;
• Juxtaposing painting with issues relating to secondary visual art teaching practice; and
• Exploring how the arts help to develop a ‘critical eye’ in teachers and students, to provide them with tools for navigating and critiquing contemporary culture.
Key theorists used
Deleuze, Deleuze & Guattari, Foucault, Bourdieu, Derrida

Hi! Your work seems interesting! I am a PhD-student and a textile artist, working with nunofel (mostly wool and silk) As a researcher I work with a PhDproject with the preliminary title: The youngest children´s possibilities to make lines of flight in time and space. I have read the book ethics and politics in Early childhood and have a great use of it.

Linda,

Thank you for the reply.

Haven't read that book, "ethics and politics in early childhood" ....sounds very interesting! Now I'm off to do some reading :)

The area of governmentlaity is a very interesting area to research. What notions have you come across within this book and others that have sparked your interest?

Currently reading a book that I think would help you further understand the area of 'relational power' - governmentality etc...
