Hi Jane
A few years ago you sent me a copy of your consent booklet for chn which I adapted for my research - many thanks. I am now in the final throes of writing my PhD thesis and am wondering of you know of any other researchers other than you and helen hedges who have reported a use of actually gaining written consent form young chn.
I am also a member of this group - but not done anything about setting up a page - tho my husband has done his... I've been beavering away all last year on study leave from Whitireia, writing. I was att AARE in Brisbane - were you? Like you I'm off to Melbourne soon. Finish the thesis and start at RMIT in July. Hopefully our paths will cross...
Thank you for your comments on my textile work! Yes, it is difficult to do this in words, the colours, the textures and visual depths disappear when trying to transform life into words. maybe we have to use language in more free/artisitic ways, take it in directions opening up to novelist ways of writing? It is indeed challenging and fills me with fright; will this be accepted....? Good to have your comments and support though. Hope I can comment on some of your work too,
Hi Jane!
Nice to meet you here too! Now I have your photo and it seems to me that is a way of knowing you better!

About me
Hi, originally from the UK I have lived in NZ for about 20 years. I have moved from the University of Auckland to Monash. This is an exciting time for me. I lecture in early childhood education, live just outside Melbourne and enjoy books, ideas, friends, art, food, yoga, walking... life. I find it important to have, in Rinaldi's phrase, 'hope for the future'..
