About me
To date, education and contemporary theory are separate (but converging) aspects of my work.

I completed my PhD in Cultural Studies at Macquarie University. It examined carnal transcendence as a problematic in the work of Luce Irigaray. In one sentence, this theory imagines that the carnal has the weight and value of transcendence, and that the divine is as live-able and as readily evoked as the carnal.

I am currently working in the Learning and Teaching Centre at Macquarie University, and am involved in research projects on university leadership and management, graduate capabilities, and curriculum renewal.
Research interests
Sexual difference, performativity, subjectivity, poetics and textuality, ethics, learning technologies, embodiment, curriculum, higher education leadership and management, governance.
Key theorists used
(in alphabetical order) Gaston Bachelard, Roland Barthes, Judith Butler, Helene Cixous, Michel Foucault, Elizabeth Grosz, Luce Irigaray, Julia Kristeva, Jean-Francois Lyotard, Friedrich Nietzsche
